I knew from the time I heard her Tiny Desk concert, Adele was going to be in my top ten. I didn’t really expect her to be on Billboard’s.

The only vote cast for the Royal Bangs (guessing). This band started me on the best 4 days of my life and I couldn’t leave them off the list.

05Fleet Foxes: Helplessness Blues

Pretty tough to follow up their debut. I don’t think they were quite as successful as Arcade Fire in following up a Ken Robertson personal top ten album, but they are in the conversation with them for my favorite band.

Serious contender for my number one slot, lost out because I didn’t think it reached the heights of my number 1. Solid throughout.

01M83: Hurry Up We’re Dreaming

This album went from off my radar to the middle of my top 10 and kept climbing the ladder. The more I listened to it, the more I was sure it was the best album of the year.
