Where in the World

I’m ashamed to say that there has been a great opening of the Noise Narcs geographic mind. Last year, 70% of our votes (and 80% of our weighted points) went to American albums. Shamefully, we doled out only 65% of our votes and a mere 58% of our weighted points to American albums. Don’t narc us out to Trump, please.

But the biggest new trend was Los Angeles. Like the 101 at rush hour, our lists were clogged with albums from LA artists (and would’ve been more clogged if I had counted Father John Misty as an LA artist). 11 different albums came from LA artists, getting 19% of the weighted points. Congratulations, LA: Philly has a new sworn enemy.
