Mike I: Top Albums of 2014

Philadelphia, PA

Aside from War on Drugs as number 1, a lot of my top ten (and even a couple of the honorable mentions) are kind of interchangeable for me, and I went back and forth a lot on the order before finally giving in and calling it a day. A couple of these might be sentimental picks–New Pornographers and Swans, in particular, though I like both albums a lot, and think they stand on their own. Also, making this list made me realize what a lousy job I did this year of listening to new hip hop.
